The objective of the EXAM Mentor MCC learning material is to develop the technical and non-technical parts of attitudes, knowledge and skills which are neccessry to operate a multi-crew aircraft. With this course, you will achieve competencies required for flying in a commercial air transport environment considering parts of Threat and Error Managment (TEM) and Crew Resource Management (CRM).

The Multi-Crew Cooperation concept regulates the work and task sharing in the cockpit. Some of the objectives are:
  • Sequential teamwork
  • Coordinated teamwork
  • Clear and concise workload distribution
  • Cross-checking and supporting by each crew member
  • Clear and concise communication
  • Full availability of Pilot Flying (PF) for aircraft control

To meet EASA requirements, you will work through the following topics: communication, leadership and teamworking, situational awareness, workload management, problem solving and decision making, monitoring and cross-checking, task sharing, use of checklists, briefings, flight management, FMS usage, normal systems, abnormal and emergency operations and environment, weather, and ATC.

Checklists, briefings, procedures (normal and abnormal) and standard operating procedures (SOPs) shown in this course are only examples and may differ to actual airline operations. However, the material shown will help you to get a general understanding of multi-crew cooperation and to quickly adapt to airline specific standards.
