The KANNAD Interga 406 AP GPS is a compact and lightweight Electronic Location Transmitter (ELT) with integrated antenna and GPS signal. Based on the GPS signal the search area will be reduced to 0.03 sq. miles. With 406 MHz signal only the search area will approx. 28 sq. miles.
Note: the internal antenna transmits the 406 MHz signal only. For transmitting the 121.5 MHz as well a additional antenna is neccessary.
The ELT does have the neccessary approvals - FAA TSO-C126a, ETSO-2C91a and -2C126.
By using the ELT portable the activation has to be done manually. The rugged and reliable crash sensor will be activated automaticly in case of a crash, if the ELT is installed accordingly with the external antenna. It can also be activated by the pilot in case of an emergency.
The McMurdo Integra 406 GPS can be wired with a 2-wire (RC102) as well as with a 3-wire (RC200) Remote Control.

Maintenance is reduced to a monthly self-test, which can be activated by the remote control or directly with the ELT.
The battery has to be replaced every 6 years.
